(FR) General acoustic data management recommendations for professionals
Ecofirst is privileged to work on a series of projects, on raw data sets from different types of study, by different partners and collaborators (both professional and non-professional). As a consequence, we have had the opportunity to work with a variety of different approaches, and to gain a good understanding of the practices and methods applied by each in the collection and analysis of acoustic data, particularly for the study of chiropterans.
The aim of this note is to formulate a series of recommendations for easy tracing of the operations carried out, and to avoid a series of pitfalls and problems that may arise in the data at different stages of their analysis. Our hope is that these recommendations will not only help consultancies and other professionals in the sector to improve their practices, but also serve as guidelines for those commissioning the studies, to ensure the quality of the work carried out.
